One of, if not THE longest running rallies still in
existence, the Almost World Famous WHITE STAG is here again. This year marks
TWENTY…YES count ‘em TWENTY years. Jeff
and I had full intentions of making this the best of the best riding stags
ever, but unfortunately; neither of us could devote the required efforts to
make it happen. Therefore, we will celebrate 20 years of the Stag as an RTE
or more commonly referred to as a “Lounge Rally”, the phrase coined in
Tonopah when the rally got snowed in. Despite not being able to ride, that
was one of the most memorable Stags I can remember. So come on out to Beatty
and join the best of the best in the LD world. You won’t be disappointed. And
YES, we will have some politically incorrect check point activities going on!
Hickey-Askew-Inflatables-Tip Over Blair-Food Fighting Landry….it just doesn’t
get any better! See Ya there. The Stag always
attracts the Crème de la Crème of endurance riders so get ready to rub elbows
with some of the best in the community. You can bet that there will be plenty
of stories to tell from previous WHITE STAG Rallies. In typical WHITE
STAG fashion, we will still have the party, banquet, high quality event
T-Shirts, and bountiful door prizes. White Stag is always
a fast sell out, especially given the short window of registration; I
encourage you to sign up early. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Rally
Headquarters will be at the Stagecoach Hotel/Casino in Beatty, Friday
Jan 30, 2009: Arrive
in Beatty at your choice of time. Check in with Tom Almassy, when you arrive.
I should be in room 134. Friday night, hang out and think up lies to
tell at the banquet on Saturday. Saturday
Jan 31:
Self guided tours of Death Valley and surrounding areas, featuring some of
the best riding roads you will find anywhere! Veteran White Stag riders will
have flashbacks of some incredible memories from previous years. There
will be a check point featuring some typical demented “Stag Style” activities. The time
and place for the check point will be announced on Friday night. Saturday
Evening: 6:00pm Cocktail hour begins in the bar area, followed
by the banquet and awards ceremony at 7:00pm. In the typical White Stag
tradition, we will have plenty of door prizes. I look forward to seeing you all in
